Women in Construction Event
MEB Design Associate Sadiqa Jabbar attended the Women in Construction event hosted by the Constructing Excellence Croydon Club this week, an inspiring gathering that highlighted the contributions and challenges faced by women in the industry.
The event featured insightful discussions with women in senior positions who shared their experiences, offered valuable career advice, and emphasised the importance of visibility and mentorship for the next generation of professionals in construction. Creating opportunities for aspiring female leaders and fostering an inclusive industry remains a crucial part of shaping the future of architecture and construction.
Adding a touch of creativity to the setting, attendees also enjoyed glimpses of the #wildinart installations in the background. The colourful giraffe sculptures, originally placed in Croydon Town Centre as part of the 2023 London Borough of Culture celebrations, provided a playful and artistic backdrop to an engaging and thought-provoking event.
