Ilayda is a Part 2 Architectural Assistant and joined the team in October 2019. She studied in Canterbury and completed her Masters at Oxford Brookes, with a specialisation in Urban Design. Ilayda is greatly interested in sustainability by merging together architecture and nature, which is beneficial for providing cleaner air as well as offering a healthier environment for it’s users. Her previous university projects focused on indoor agriculture to address the issues faced by the lack of outdoor spaces to grow fresh produce in highly dense cities. Ilayda has also worked freelance specialising in loft conversions and single storey extensions, and has experience working on site with the building team as well as working directly with clients.
Outside of work Ilayda enjoys participating in life drawing classes and has recently picked up a new hobby in knitting. She also has an interest in photography and enjoys experimenting with different ways of photographing from high and low speed photography to landscapes.
