Sutton Valence School approached MEB Design Architects to change an unused, very long narrow hall into a school theatre. The hall was located within one of their listed buildings, so we had to be sympathetic in our design approach. By lowering the high balconies and creating an additional level of seating in the galleries, we were able to create a theatre space which enables different stage arrangements to be accommodated.
