The expansion and refurbishment of John Ball Primary School consisted of three separate phases across the two school sites on Southvale Road, Lewisham. Phase 1 being the construction of a new two storey classroom wing in the form of a curve at the far end of the playground.  Phase 2 provided a new centrally located entrance area and associated staff & admin. facilities.  The final phase saw the provision of a new single storey classroom building on the existing nursery site.

All phases were completed in the context of a tight urban site in south east London whilst the school remained fully operational throughout the course of the works.  MEB Design worked closely with the main contractor to provide architectural input at the technical design and construction stages of the project.
